simple meditations in May – 2

It’s May. Here is a second meditation.  Nothing heavy, stiff or religious – just easy and enjoyable.

I want to quieten my life a little, slow down and have a go at meditation. But life is a rush and meditation often seems so complicated.

So here it is – simple – straightforward – for everyone.

But if anything here feels really uncomfortable don’t do it. Or find a way for it to work for yourself.

Head

I’m going to sit here and relax, breathing nice and even. When I’m comfy I’m going to close my eyes and raise my hand and place it on my forehead.

Slipping my hand down I’m going to feel my eye socket and notice how delicate it is.

With one hand I will feel my ear.  Feel the edges, its shape and even poke my finger in it just to feel what it is like.

In a while I’m going to move my hand down to my nose and feel it’s softness and shape. Then I’m going to feel my lips and the shape of my mouth.

When I’ve had enough I might say thank you for I am wonderfully and beautifully made.

Let me know how it goes in the comments below. Or write to me tim@innerman.org.uk
