simple meditations in May 1
It’s May. Many of us are getting out a bit more and enjoying gardens and walks in the woods or even just a jaunt down the road or in the park. It’s a time to be so chilled it will be possible to have a go at Simple Meditations in May – a series this month.
A couple of times each week I will post a very simple meditation – nothing heavy, stiff or religious – just easy and enjoyable.

So often I want to quieten my life a little, slow down and have a go at meditation. But life is a rush and I really can’t be doing with all those yoga mats and people going on about well-being.
Here is what I’m going to do. It’s simple and straightforward, its beautiful and personal.
I’m doing some of this outside in public so I might feel like an idiot. But I don’t really care.
But if anything here feels really uncomfortable don’t do it. Or find a way for it to work for yourself.

Folk
I’m going to sit here and watch people walk past me.
I’m going to look at their faces and notice who is stressed or sad and those who seem happy.
I’m going to notice how they are dressed and how they walk.
Then, after a while, I’m going to close my eyes, stretch out my hands, palms facing the street or the path and I’m going to bless those people.
Let me know how it goes in the comments below. Or write to me tim@innerman.org.uk
